I have never seen a more effective bug zapper. We are truly impressed. It sounds like the grand finale of a fireworks display!! Highly recommend. We will likely be purchasing a second one for the other corner of the yard.

I was surprised by the small size of this zapper. What it lacks in size is made up for in killing and attraction power. I do reccomend removing the bottom tray as the bodies stack up quick and clog the whole thing up.

Earlier I have tried fruit fly killer and zapper etc. But I’m not comfortable using any chemical-based/poison fly killer at home. Then I found this one and it’s perfect, it is lightweight and easy to clean and the light inside is replaceable (I haven’t replaced) It really kills the flies including fruit flies. Especially in the summer season, there are a lot of flies that come inside when you open the patio doors. I’m glad I found this bug killer which I am feeling safe to use.

Update 6/4 Amazon made it right! They shipped us a new one and it works great!!Product didn’t work from the day it was delivered. We contacted the company and haven’t heard back in a few days on fixing it or replacing it under their 5 year warranty.

There is something so soothing about the sound of bugs being zapped. It really brings be back to childhood. We have been getting chewed up really badly this year. We finally had enough. In doing some research on reviews, I happened upon the TBI Pro Bug Zapper here on Amazon. Great little investment so far. After a full week of use, that thing is zapping away. I have to dump the little catch bin every other day as thing thing is zapping away and filling up quickly. I’m sure the little attractant that is includes has something to do with bringing in the bugs, but of course the light brings them in as well. The unit really had nothing to put together. Install the attractant and screw on the bottom and you are ready to go. It is easy to mount and easy to you. I would recommend these for anyone that is tired of getting chewed up.It says waterproof, but in reading some other reviews, doubt I’ll leave it out in foul weather. I’ll even use this thing inside, which I haven’t yet. The attached video is that of my one week review. So far, love it!

I recently bought a smaller insect trap, but I didn’t realize it was mean to capture fruit flies, but not actual flies. Because my kids are always in and out of our backyard, and they sometimes leave the screen door open, we usually end up with flies in our house…especially in the kitchen. I was tired of of chasing down the flies with my fly swatter and not being able to capture them. This bug zapper works like magic! It can be used outdoors and indoors, but I have mine in the kitchen. The light attracts the insects and the voltage immediately kills them. There is a tray at the bottom of the trap where you can discard the dead bugs. So easy to use! There is also a hook on the top, so you can hang it out of the way, or hang it outdoors. Great product that really works!

Tested this out and it worked great ( not for that random fly unfortunately). These are good to have at an outdoor event to help make guests comfortable

Got this to install in my mum’s house, a roughly 1500 sq ft house on what is probably 3000 sq ft property. She wanted something to get rid of wasps. I recommended getting a zapper instead because the 10 seconds it took to get from the car to the house resulted in at least 3 mosquito bites per night and bugs to the face at all times. I’ve left this zapper on 24/7 since 06/2020 (08/2020 now) and my electricity bill has not gone up by any significant amount. I have not replaced the mosquito attractant thus, but no more wasps or mosquito bites. I do still see some gnats and other tiny bugs around my face at about 20 ft away if any of the lights in my car are on and I’m near it, but this mostly keeps things at bay.Note: My mom has a side porch and a front porch, but I installed this in the back of the house. My mom lives in such a high bug activity area that if the porch lights are on, then bugs will swarm the porch. The takeaway here is that if your lights are brighter than this UV light, this zapper may not work for you.My solution to this was installing smart switches in the house with a smart app on her phone that runs in the background so that when she gets home, the porch lights turn on for 5 minutes before turning off. This method extremely well for her, provided that her phone isn’t dead or in low power mode.Several other things to be wary of:The zaps are very noticeable. Unfortunately, the cable is only 4 ft long, so until I get my mum an extension cord, the zapper is stuck outside one of the bedroom, meaning people in that bedroom hear insects getting zapped all night. You don’t hear it in adjacent rooms or the windowless hallway, though.Since the insects are zapped, the device smells like burnt insect bodies. You only smell this when you get close enough to clean it though. When it rains heavily, the water combined with the dead insects inside the cage can trigger constant zaps. This doesn’t discriminate against bees, which actually help the world out, so try to keep it away from flowers. I haven’t had any dead bees in my zapper because there aren’t flowers where I installed it.Despite all the things to be wary of, this zapper is highly efficient in the usage scenario I’ve described. I’d give it 4.5 stars for the drawbacks compared to how bad the problem was before.

After just two weeks, the grid and the bottom catch tray were filled with hundreds, if not a few thousand, of dead mosquitoes and Japanese beetles! I’m not exaggerating on the number. I’m a retired scientist and I know how to estimate numbers. Granted, we have had a wet spring this year in mid Ohio which is fantastic for the mosquito population. We were getting eaten alive (OK, bled to death) by the mosquitoes beginning at dusk to the point we could not use our back porch in the evenings. From the time I put this up, the mosquito population dropped dramatically to the point to almost zero on our porch. When I walk the dog at night near the zapper (just around the corner from the porch), there is a cacophony of zapping sounds and sparks as yet other victims meets their well-deserved demise. Photos are attached of the grid and the downspout runout after I cleaned the grid. The only downside is that it very difficult to unscrew and screw in the bottom plate to empty the dead bugs and to replace the attractant. A MUCH larger or better hand-hold needs to be molded into the bottom plate, especially for arthritic old hands such as mine — and any other elderly person who uses this. Otherwise I would have given a full five star rating.CRITICAL UPDATE: Note in the third photo that I have attached a black handle to the bottom of the tray. This GREATLY facilitates unscrewing the bottom plate from the main unit. Be sure to get a handle (available from your local big box hardware store) that is 3″ between the side parts of the handle. Otherwise it may not fit on to the removable bottom. One of the two existing holes fits nicely for the handle screw. I had to drill the second hole for the handle a bit “inwards” of the second existing hole in the bottom for the handle to fit. A bit of jiggling, but it is well worth it.

I rarely write reviews. I wanted to buy one with a battery charger, but read and heard you have to have a plug in one for the best results. So I bought one with a 4 foot plug and am super happy I did. All I did was plug it it and it worked right away. I did not even use the included bug attractor and it had hundreds of bugs in the morning! Amazing bug zapper. killed moths, bugs, a wasp and mosquitoes. Yay
