This little lamp is really quite something. I used to have a Philips wake-up lamp, but this one is better in pretty much all aspects.First of all, the lamp works with Alexa. Being able to say “Alexa, turn on bedroom lamp” is pretty helpful. Furthermore, and this is something that I definitely didn’t expect, all the different parts of the lamp are exposed as different devices. The lamp, the radio, the sleep sound portion, and all four different alarms. So, I can say “Alexa, turn on alarm 4” or “Alexa, turn off radio.”Because of WiFi, the lamp is really easy to use. It can take the network’s time, so you don’t have to fiddle around with that either. All of the things can be set up using the SmartLife app, which I already had for a number of other (MartinJerry) light switches. The alarms — well, there are four of them, and they can be set up for different weekdays. For example, my alarm 1 is a 6 AM weekday alarm. but it doesn’t go off on weekends. I don’t have to remember to turn the alarm on again after I’ve turned it off, like with my last Philips alarm clock (that was dangerous — if I turned the alarm off on Monday morning and didn’t turn it on again on Monday night, I wouldn’t be woken up on Tuesday morning — not with this lamp). The lamp also has a backup battery for the alarms. The sleep function is somewhat limited in sounds. I think I like the “river” sound, my wife likes “rain.” Unfortunately, the “rain” has two little beeps in it that to me sound like someone is remotely locking or unlocking a car. Otherwise the sound is nice, I didn’t expect it.It would be nice if I could more easily turn everything off using Alexa, for example, both the radio and the lamp. I created a group, but it doesn’t really make sense, because I hardly ever want to turn everything on at the same time, just off.Overall, I’m super pleased with this lamp. Way better than expected, more features than lamps three or four times the price.

This is one of those purchases you will be encouraging your friends to get. Waking up gently to the ever brightening light over an adjustable time range is a much gentler experience, no longer jarring at all. The sound that can accompany it isn’t limited to the radio, it also has nature sounds. The light is a warm tone. I haven’t used the USB charger in the back, was honestly a pleasent surprise. The initial setup had more then a few steps but clear instructions were provided and I didn’t encounter any hiccups. I am a big fan. Also the video I posted was to only give an idea of the lights range, I have mine set to light up like that over the course of 15 minutes.

Now I understand why this wake up light/alarm clock is in top 5 in both clock radio section, and light therapy section. Mainly it’s the ability to connect to Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant, and a phone app. The phone app will give you 2 more alarms to set up.(Tips: if your Wifi has dual, or even tri-bands, you’ll have a hard time to connect to the Smart Life phone app. Don’t even bother to reset back and forth, you’ll need to log into your modem/router. In wireless settings, there’s an option to separate all the bands to have their own Wifi names, then connect through 2.4 GHz band. After that, you could reset your modem/router to normal.)I’d recommend having the alarm hooked up to your phone app for those extra alarm clocks. You can also set up which clocks are for work, or pleasure, or days off, etc.The differences and features packed in this one for 1/3 the price of a Philips wake up light are huge. This has more alarm sounds and more lamp shades as a bedside lamp than the Philips. At this price range, I’d wonder why I’d pay more. The “sun” light isn’t in your face kind of bright. But I wake up and get out of bed at least half an hour earlier than I used to. I’m amazed at that effect alone. It tricks my body into thinking it’s time to get up and get out there since the sun already shines high like it’s noon.Ironically, the sunset feature is what I love the most about this sunrise alarm clock. Haha. I could easily fall asleep within 5 minutes to the sounds of bird chipping, water flowing through a lake.FM radio has 15 stations. The sound is quite compressed. On some FM radio stations that they’re loud by default, it sounds a bit harsh on high volume. I leave mine at 8.I also find that these stations change throughout the day, so I just reverse back to using the provided alarm sounds. But you could use it as a radio speaker. This packs a bunch. If you feel tired every morning, have a hard time getting out of bed, or your bedroom doesn’t have a lot of sun light, consider to grab this wake up light, it’ll help tremendously.

It’s small than I thought it would be, but actually just the right size. When you first open the insert booklet to set it up, the print is so tiny that I had to get my lighted magnifying glass. Well.. a few pages later there are bigger instructions. THEN it tells you about the app, which I didn’t even know it w worked with! So get the app first thing and v you can bypass the booklet altogether and do the set up with it. The only thing that confused me is that there is no setting for the a.m. p.m. and I never did figure that out but somehow managed to change it. It’s weird. It has military time as the default, that has a switch to turn on or off. Set up wasn’t as straight forward as they make it sound in reviews. And you need to memorize where and what all the buttons on the rim are. Works beautifully. I set it for 60 minutes wake up, and I actually woke up at the beginning and several times before the hour was up and the sound began. I may cut that in half. I stayed to make sure the snooze worked before shutting it off. Your snooze time is adjustable as well. Really the only thing missing is a toggle for the a.m. and p.m.. Other than that, it’s pretty darn perfect! The app makes setting any of the four alarms a breeze! So many options! I had the volume at 10, and with my foam ear plugs in, I couldn’t hear it.. but oddly still hear my husband’s snoring.. so I will put that at it’s highest setting. Ten is a normal, comfortable volume. That said, the 20 on the light will actually hurt your eyes to look at so don’t do that, you can put it on twenty, which I did, but don’t look at that directly unless you want a headache. It’s VERY bright!Enjoy!

This alarm clock has many features!! I would definitely recommend this for ALL ages! It allows you to use as a clock, as a going to sleep light, and even as a desk lamp light. This is by far the best alarm clock that I have ever purchased. It has so many functions and the APP makes it so easy to use. You can download the APP from App Store to your smartphone or tablet. And then you can control everything from the APP and adjust the settings to how you want them. This is really more convenient than any other traditional wake up light. The natural wakeup light is really helpful during the winter months and make waking up much more pleasant experience. I am now able to set 4 alarms with different sound effects. The phase can be changed to light up in different colors. The app is really easy to use and setting it up with Amazon Alexa was super easy. (It can also connect with Google Home, but I have not tried it) I can control this anywhere so long as I have an internet connection. With my old alarm clock, it had small fiddly buttons that you had to keep pressing and holding to change settings etc however with this new alarm clock everything is much easier.I am not a morning person (at all), and my bedroom is completely dark since I have blackout curtains, and waking up to a gradually brighter room helps me wake up without feeling groggy. So I was excited to try this alarm clock. It works as promised, with a warm, yellowish, gradual glow waking you up in the morning over 10-30 minutes. In the morning the gradual lighting of the room is really nice and does help you wake up slightly easier, maybe even happier. I especially like the “snooze” feature where you can tap it to get extra 9-15 minutes of sleep. It also works nicely as a desk light and the ability to throw different colors on the walls is nice. You can set max brightness and volume pretty simply. The button layout is good and the manual actually explains how to use the features pretty well.

We have not used the sleep AID mode so I cannot comment on that but I am sure it’s excellent! We have, however, used this for 10 days as of today (August 16, 2019) and it has been such a game changer! Definitely download the smart life app for setting it up because it is quicker than going through the manual, but the manual works just as well for setting up too.Don’t let the price fool you! Just because it’s priced friendlier than others it would AMAZINGLY!!**With this new alarm we were able to not just get up on time but set it for a whole hour earlier!!**We both wake up in a better mood which I contribute to the ease of this alarm compared to the heart attack I used to get from my phone ( when it wanted to work ).**There is a snooze function but we haven’t had to use it! (WIN!!!)What we use? We do the 15 minute sunrise with the brightness set to 20 and the sound is 1-Bird volume at 16 for 10 minutes. You can also set up 4 alarms AND customize the snooze settingWho are we? My boyfriend and I both use this alarm. He has to be at work at 6am and would have to be up at 5am, however, our old alarm [which was our cell phones] would not always go off and/or he would hit snooze until 530am when he HAS to leave and risked being late. I am a full-time student [college senior] at the moment and just like to get up early. How this alarm helped up: We now get up at 4am with no problems even when we go to bed at 11:30PM or sometimes later! We both wake up in a happier mood ready to take on the day and no longer have the sluggish feeling trying to get out of bed.**TIP** Position the alarm facing you for the magic to work! Sounds like common sense but we placed it on my boyfriends bedside table and a few time the pillows {or my boyfriend} would get in the way of it and I wouldn’t have the best time waking up. It is now placed on a dresser facing our bed and we just absolutely love it!**TIP** After downloading the app be sure to enable the wifi settings which you can find how to do in the manual so that you can use that to find the device in the app. I had trouble finding it because they have so many awesome SMART products. If I think of anything else I will add it, BUT I would DEFINITELY purchase this one again!!

Not gonna lie, I bought this because I was tired of upsetting my roommates with my alarm. I used to use one of those bed-rumbling super loud ones, and it just stopped working. This thing is leaps and bounds better, and works! It’s bright enough that it hurts my eyes when I look directly at it (so plenty great for waking me up). It has a radio, a cool app that lets me set my alarm the second I realize what time I’m going to have to wake up (so no more forgetting to set it; I can literally set it on my train home), and it’s connected to my Google Home! I really can’t believe how cheap this was tbh. Love this thing.

This little alarm clock is so cute! I hate waking up in the morning so bought this mainly for the sunrise feature. I had a bit of trouble connecting the clock to my WiFi. It would keep failing to connect even when I tried everything suggested in the help section of the instructions. After about an hour of this, I was so close to giving up and sending it back. But then it finally connected after I reset my WiFi router (so not the clock’s fault). Once connected, all features on the clock can be controlled by the app, which I love and is so much easier than learning and memorizing what each of the buttons do. I’ve had it for two days now. I do like the sunrise. I like sleeping with a sound machine on all night. I haven’t found a way to leave the sound running constantly – I have only been able to have the sound on a max 2 hour timer. So that would be my only complaint so far. But other than that, I really like the clock. All of the different color options are fun and the clock has a lot of different features. It is a great value for the price.

Well worth buyingI bought this heimvision sunrise alarm clock to help with the darker mornings, so primarily to use for the light function rather than sound function of the alarm. I’m so impressed, after only using it a week, the difference it makes in how easy it is to get up in the morning, with just the light simulation, is amazing! I wake up less tired and more ready to get on with my day. I don’t use the sound alarm so I just set the volume to 0 so I don’t get woken up by that. It’s really easy to function and set the alarm times, clock, sound and volume settings. I love that you can use it as a lamp as well and looks good on my bedside table. This was a refreshing startThe sunrise feature is pretty cool, especially if you live further up north as we do. We set our alarm for 7 AM and by 6:30 the clock begins to lighten up the room from totally dark. By the time the alarm goes off, the room is well lit. What we noticed is that this prevents the jarring or startling form of waking up. It does make a difference. There are different alarm sounds and volume options. It also has multiple colors and brightness options. There is also a bedside light feature that can be turned on with a click.Overall, I found this to be worth the money and would recommend buying it. I don’t see myself spending nearly a $130 for Philips, that seems a stretch.I’m yet to use the sunset/turn down feature as we use it as a bedside light since our baby sleeps with us. There is also an option to use the radio as your wake up alarm but I am yet to try that. Maybe on Sundays!

I’ve had this alarm clock for about a month or two now. I was having issues waking up and getting motivated to get out of bed when it was early in the morning and really cold. I had low expectations; I was hoping that it would at least keep the correct time and turn on every morning since it was so cheap, but I have been blown away by this little thing. It reliably connects to Wifi and can be controlled with your phone! It can get the time from the internet, so it never runs fast or slow. There are so many different settings to use, but I do 10 minutes of sunrise before the alarm (the shortest amount of time). By the time the alarm goes off, my room is bright enough to feel motivated to get up at 5:30 am. The alarms are kind of cheesy sounding, and you cant fully turn off the sound, but the piano one is my favorite and it is nice to listen to over and over. I don’t use sleep settings so the light/alarm noise will run for 10 minutes and then turn off. I’ve never used the radio function but it seems pretty straightforward to use. The speaker is not great quality, but that’s not what I bought it for. I gotta say, it’s definitely been easier to wake up early with this alarm for sure.
