We’re just getting started in the smart home world and these bulbs are awesome! You can change the brightness right in the Alexa app and voice controls are great. So far, we have one in the living room and one on our porch. It makes it super easy to turn the lights on or off hands free!The only issue I have, and it’s all human, is that if you use the switch to turn off the light Alexa will tell you it’s not responding so you have to manually do it. It’s more of a wife complaint😁

Update: i originally gave this a poor review, as the timers didnt work correctly – would not shut off.BUT I was soon contacted by the product manager at Ring for the A19 bulbs.After reviewing, he applied some hot fixes to the bulbs, and they WORK WONDERFULLY.EVEN BETTER, he will be checking the reviews here and on the Ring blog for these issues so he can fix it quickly. Ring will be doing a general update soon, but this guy is a product champion, doesnt want anyone to wait.I’m using the bulbs in my outside entrance and garage lighting, along with a Ring Transformer and a Ring Motion sensor. Made for a killer combination,

Purchased a total of 6 of these smart LED bulbs. Took a little time to get them all to work. But everything is fine now and they respond to the motion on my ring cameras and come on a few seconds after motion is detected.

Love these lights. I switched all my smart plugs to these because I hate the space the smart plugs take up. Well worth the investment to switch. They were easy to install, routines work great and the dimming ability per light or light grouping is a plus and loved how they automatically connected to Alexa. Ring and Amazon have a great product. Now need candelabra bulbs for my porch lights and inside chandeliers. Hope they will have those soon.

I tried another company first and it didn’t work well. Bought the Ring bulb and less then 5 minutes up and running with Alexa and my Ring system. Going to purchase three more for the out lights. Light is bright which I need but you can dim if needed. Hopefully they last long.

Decided to get this on Prime day since I already have the Ring cameras. Bridge was real easy to install and setup. Instructions for the bulbs was not was clear but once I figured out you can just scan the OR code on the bulb to add it to the ring bridge everything worked. Works well. May get a few extra bulbs later

I have to say the reason I purchased this lightbulb was one night I was laying in bed and I wasn’t feeling so great and my light is across the room and it was frustrating for me that I had to get up and walk over to my light which normally is not a problem but when you don’t feel good and you’re exhausted and you climb in the bed and then realize oh dang it the light is still on the last thing you want to do is walk across the room to turn your light off. And so I thought to myself wouldn’t it be great to just tell my light to turn off instead of getting up or having to clap your hands. So then I went on to search for smart lights and long and behold I found the ring smart lightbulb. It pairs well with your Amazon echo devices and since I use the ring for my security I thought what the heck why not get a lightbulb. Now I own several of these lights and I have to say best purchase ever! I love having a timer set for the lights to turn on when it’s getting dark outside so when I arrive home from work my home is lit I like being able to set the lights on a timer to turn off at specific times as well as two voice control from across the room. Some people might look at this is being lazy but it is a huge convenience. Easy to set up as long as you have the ring bridge and an echo device as well as a smart phone with the app. I have multiples of these lightbulbs throughout my home as well as multiple ring devices and definitely to me it is worth every penny the convenience and peace of mind it provides!

Just installed these (3) today, it was a pretty straight forward install, as changing out a light bulb should be.Well almost, the code that you need to scan for each bulb is on the bottom of the box or on the light bulb itself (very small for old eyes). If your installing multiple lights I’d recommend keeping the bulb and box together, not unboxing all of them and mixing them up as someone may have done. It’s too late to scan the code on the bulb after its in a fixture! The codes have numbers so if you can read them you can match them up… anyway just screw the bulb in scan the code from its box, pretty straight forward. I’m fairly pleased with the amount of light that they give off. More so than my previous bulbs and it is nice that I can dim them from the app. I have two outside and one inside. I was a bit confused with the questions that the app asked about motion though! I was beginning to think that these were also motion sensitive bulbs, but they are not. The required bridge allows them to work with motion from other devices. I have my inside porch bulb setup to come on when my ring doorbell senses motion and my outside lights are on from dusk till dawn, this works very nicely. Setting this up in the app isn’t as straight forward as it could be though! I had to link the doorbell with the light in the doorbell section not the lighting section. I have two more cameras/motion sensors to install so it’s going to get interesting as far as the app goes, but everything works as I want it to right now. Overall I’m very pleased with these bulbs. DON’T forget to purchase the Ring bridge, I know it says everywhere that you need it, but someone’s going to give this a once star review because they didn’t buy it or it doesn’t work without it…..

This was so easy to hook to the ring bridge. It doesn’t detect motion so I don’t have to worry about false alerts it works well with my camera and path lights. They trigger it to light up avoids the constant on and off effects
