I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this vacuum sealer worked. I am using to store and freeze hops for homebrewing. It does a great job for the price. Seems sturdy enough to last a while if taken care of. I have done around 50 bags with no issues. Its definitely a budget version, but still does the job just fine.

This has been an amazing vacuum sealer for preserving my food and using it to seal up food. It perfectly air seals the food and keeps it fresh when i put it in the refrigerator. It’s easy to use and is an amazing value for your money. I used it for steak after seasoning it to marinate it, and it made it a lot more juicy and taste better. Also used it to seal chicken so that it didnt go bad. Totally recommend this to people who are looking for one.

Make no mistake, this isn’t a super-duper fancy unit – at 30 bucks it isn’t intended to be. What is it, though, is a really, really good starter unit to make sure you’re not going to spend $200, use it twice, and then put it into a closet somewhere. It’s got great power and great sealing capability.Cons – and again, for 30 bucks these are less cons than “what you can expect for 30 bucks”. The sealing chamber is a little bit of a pain to clean. The heating strip is very sticky when hot and takes up to 30 seconds to release the chamber open – you can pry it open with a spoon or something but really shouldn’t. The heating strip also is very loosely attached and can sometimes be pulled up with the bag, so watch out you don’t tear it all the way out.Totally worth it for 30 bucks. I bought a bigger fancier one because I use it a ton so this one is in the kitchen for super light duty uses instead of the basement where I do all my bulk prep.Tips (and this goes for all sealers):Don’t be a cheapskate like I am and try to skimp on your bags. Cut them long and don’t overfill trying to save that last 1/2″. Longer bags get a much better seal.Stack a cutting board or two in front of the machine before using – make sure the food is on the same plane as the heating element. When just laying on the counter it’s a good 2″ below the lip of the unit and air flow can be restricted and leave your bags with bubbles. Raise the meat up to the same level to make it easier to suck all air out.Don’t overdo the suction! I was horrible at this, I wanted to get every last milligram of air out, but all this does is smash your meat, pull out juices, and get juices into the sealing part of the bag and jeopardize the integrity of the seal. Once the bag smooshes down tight just stop there and immediately seal. I get way better results this way.

I bought this to replace an old one that no longer works. I like this much better. It’s pretty compact which is nice because it doesn’t take up too much storage space. I’ve used it to vacuum sealer T-bone steaks, chicken breasts and some fresh cauliflower. It works great, I’m thinking about getting one for my daughter.

This is my jewel. I used to have a commercial food saver. But ittakes to much space. When I returned home from groceries I go through my recipes for the next 3 weeks. I season my meats the vegetables, and flour mixes for homemade bread. Everything is sealed. Is easy to used. Does not weight too much. Love this equipment. I have recommended the equipment to my neighbors and they have purchased as well. Everyone from my RV Club use the sealer. Easy when traveling the US. My best one of this equipment is to seal the bread and cheese after after making sandwiches. Also I seal the sandwiches. Everyone gets their packet for lunch or dinner seal and save. This is one of my kitchen tools.

Ok. This is the first vacuum sealer I’ve ever owned. So I had a learning curve at first. But now I’m totally thrilled with it. At first, I was placing the bags incorrectly and was disappointed that the vacuum wasn’t good enough. Then I discovered that I had to place both sides of the bag under the little clips. I place my bags bumpy side down (don’t know if this matters or not). After that I had a few successful vacuum seals. Then I inadvertently covered the inlet port with the bag. Disappointment again. So it appears that when I do my part correctly, the machine works like a charm. I couldn’t be more pleased. Especially considering the price. It does seem that the 8″ bags would be the maximum fit for vacuum and seal. But that’s okay with me for now. I wanted this to preserve my dehydrated produce for longer shelf (freezer) life and to conserve space. So I’m pleased with this gadget!

We were gifted a sous vide system for Christmas and figured vacuum sealed food would be much more practically than squeezing air out of ziplock bags every time. Zip lock method still leaves air pockets which makes it hard to cook sous vide method evenly. This vacuum sealer seals quicks and can work with any vacuum brand bags. We like it.

I was a bit skeptical at the beginning because it was one of the lowest cost options, but given how good this works I can’t imagine why anyone would want to pay more. This sealer machine is worth every penny and I would tell everyone to buy this item. I use this thing almost daily. Its really great for sealing left overs or meats and vegetables, perfect for anything you want to stay dry and fresh. Its easy to use. very low priced and works as well as more expensive brands. Nice size, light and not noisy.

Awesome little vacuum sealer. I purchased this not for the usual purpose. I’m not using this for food. Well, at least not right now. Currently I’m using this to seal some very old photos and documents for storage. I recently was given some old family photos and other memorabilia and I don’t want it to deteriorate. We were told to vacuum seal them to protect them from further damage. So far, this little machine is working perfectly. We purchased a couple rolls of bag material that we could use to make our own size bags. When not in use this machine fits easily into a drawer. I’m super happy with this purchase.

I purchased this vacuum sealer to aid in molding my knife sheaths and holsters. It has great suction power, came with an assortment of good bag sizes and doesn’t take up a lot of room on my workbench.I will check into buying ‘slick’ bags, the ones that came with it have a textured interior on one side and I don’t want that to transfer to my leather piece.I think it will also be great during hunting season!
